Pinot’s Palette supports Wayside House by painting it forward

Instead of paying it forward, why not paint it forward?

That’s the theme of a community outreach event at Pinot’s Palette 4-6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25, at the business, 4712 Excelsior Blvd., St. Louis Park.

Community members can paint rocks as part of The Kindness Rocks Project, which encourages people to “inspire others through randomly placed rocks along the way” and to “recruit every person who stumbles upon it to join in the pursuit of inspiring others through random acts of kindness,” according to thekindnessrocksproject.com.

While there is no cost to participate in the event, organizers have suggested that participants donate $5 at the door to the Wayside House. The St. Louis Park-based nonprofit provides “personalized, gender specific, and trauma informed chemical dependency and mental health services,” according to its Facebook page.

The painting event will be limited to 40 people. Attendees will receive paint and rocks for the project.
