The Wayzata Historical Society is celebrating its 35th anniversary with an event 5-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, at the Wayzata Depot, 402 Lake St. E.
Members and nonmembers of the historical society are invited to celebrate with a pig roast picnic dinner and narrated tours aboard the historic steamboat Minnehaha.
The celebration will begin at 5 p.m., with the choice of a 5 p.m. or 7 p.m. boat tour. (Note that the 7 p.m. boat tour eats before departure. Due to capacity limits, tour choice cannot be changed after signing up..)
In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 23.
Ticket prices for members are $23 for both dinner and boat tour, $15 for boat tour only and $8 for dinner only. Tickets for non-members are $28 for both dinner and boat tour, $20 for boat tour only and $8 for dinner only.
Tickets are available through wayzatahistoricalsociety.org or can be purchased with cash or check at the Depot noon to 4 p.m. on weekends.
