St. Louis Park Sun Sailor Stars of the Week for Aug. 10

The Minikahda Club-based golfer was third at 4-under par after an opening round 68 of the MGA Women’s Net Individual Championship, played at New Prague Golf Club. She sat five strokes behind leader Barbara Patrow of Bunker Hills going into Monday’s round.

Minneapolis Golf Club golfer was tied for second place after one round of play at the MGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship also played at New Prague Golf Club. She was 1-over par 73 matching Alexandra Stewart (Legands Club), two strokes behind Dellwood Country Club’s Olivia Herrick.

Adam Seaman
St. Louis Park townball catcher went 3-for-5 driving in one run and also scoring a run in Park’s 7-0 win over Hamel in Game 2 of their Riverview League playoff game on Friday to improve to 41-9 this season qualifying for this weekend’s Class A state tournament.

Jake Mangler
The Park Baseball Club centerfielder hit a home run in the Game 2 win over Hamel and finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs on Friday to raise his season batting average to .279 with his first homer of the season to go along with 33 RBIs.

Matthew Axelrod
The 25-year-old runner was 15th overall at the Urban Wildland Half Marathon in Richfield July 29 covering the 13.1 mile course in 1:25:39.

Jude Burgoyne
St. Louis Park’s 29-year-old runner was 13th overall at the Chaska River Days 5K Fun Run and Walk to End Domestic Violence on July 29. He completed the 3.1-mile course in 23:32.

Lindsey Daniel
The 28-year-old triathlete finished eighth overall in 1:30:29 at the Graniteman Triathlon Clearwater, near St. Cloud on July 8.
