The Otto Bremer Trust has awarded a $70,000 grant to St. Louis Park-based Tree Trust, a nonprofit that works to provide resources that assist young people in gaining job skills, work experience and learning opportunities.
The grant is part of more than $6.5 million the trust provided to Minnesota organizations during its most recent cycle of grants.
“We’re pleased to invest in organizations throughout the region that move communities forward in powerful and meaningful ways,” said Charlotte S. Johnson, co-CEO and trustee of the trust.
The trust, based in St. Paul, is a private charitable trust established in 1944 by founder Otto Bremer, a banker and community business leader. The trust owns 92 percent of Bremer Bank and also manages a diversified investment portfolio. The mission of the trust is to invest in people, places and opportunities in the Upper Midwest.
