Wayzata’s senior high-jumper took second in the State Class AA Track and Field Meet June 10 with a career best jump of 6 feet, 7 inches.
The Armstrong High track and field standout won the state Class AA shot put title June 10 at Hamline University in St. Paul. The day before, she was third in state in the discus.
Wayzata High’s senior second baseman hit a single to score the winning run as the Trojans beat Hopkins 7-6 for the Section 6 baseball title June 6. The Trojans went undefeated in section play to claim their second straight championship.
Wayzata High’s boys golf team rallied past Edina to win the Section 6AAA boys golf title last week at Ridges of Sand Creek. Mackenzie-Olson was Wayzata’s medalist and placed third overall with rounds of 70 and 75.
Armstrong High’s Snezhko won three of four matches to claim third place in the State Class AA Boys Tennis Singles Tournament last week at Baseline Tennis Center.
The Wayzata distance runner placed fourth in the 3,200-meter run during the State Class AA Girls Track and Field Meet June 9. Her time was 10 minutes, 50 seconds.
Williams won all three of his singles matches in the State Class AA Tennis Tournament last week as the Wayzata Trojans took fourth place.
