Matteo Musso will speak on his new book “Handbook of Us: Understanding Accepting People with Autism” at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 8, at the Congregational Church of Excelsior, 471 3rd St, Excelsior.
Musso, 13, is a young man with autism and limited speech. After 12 years of silently observing and listening, he can now freely contribute his thoughts to the world.
With the help of his parents, teachers, and facilitators, Musso is using a unique system of communication (SOMA RPM) that allows his thoughts to flow out.
Musso has now written a book, “Handbook of Us: Understanding and Accepting People with Autism.”
