Author, spiritual director to speak April 19 at St. Mary of the Lake, Plymouth

Mary Treacy O’Keefe, an author, speaker and spiritual director, will present at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at the community room at St. Mary of the Lake Church, 105 Forestview Ln. N., Plymouth. This is a free event and open to the public.

After nearly 20 years in the corporate world, O’Keefe received a master’s degree in theology/spirituality and became certified in May 2002 as a spiritual director from the University of St. Catherine.

Trained as a Renewing Life facilitator, cancer guide and as a mind, body skills facilitator by the Center for Mind Body Medicine in Washington, D.C., she also is certified as a wellness speaker by the National Wellness Institute.

O’Keefe is the author of “Thin Places: Where Faith is Affirmed and Hope Dwells” and “Meant to Be: Discovering What We Are Called to Do and Be.”
