Minnewashta Elementary students read more than 1,000,000 minutes

In February, Minnewashta Elementary students read more than 1,166,000 minutes and raised more than $59,000 for new playground equipment during the school’s annual Read-a-Thon. If the students met their goal, Principal Cindy Andress and other staff members said they would sleep on a bus in the parking lot dressed as “Magic School Bus” characters. Andress dressed up as Miss Frizzle.
