Plymouth’s State of the City address set for March 14

Plymouth Mayor Kelli Slavik will deliver the annual State of the City address Tuesday, March 14 at Smiths Medical, 6000 Nathan Lane N., Plymouth. Networking and refreshments begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by the mayor’s presentation at 8 a.m.

Residents and business owners are invited to join Slavik as she shares an overview of the past year and looks towards the future.
Topics include the city’s economy, Plymouth’s nationally recognized quality of life, a look at future goals and a recap of successfully completed projects. Co-sponsored by the City of Plymouth and TwinWest Chamber of Commerce, the event is free and open to the public.

Formerly held at Plymouth City Hall, the address continues its second year of getting out and into the community to highlight Plymouth’s strong business sector. Smiths Medical is a global provider of medical devices. The company employs about 7,500 people worldwide. Last year, the company opened its new global headquarters in Plymouth.
