Hopkins student takes the stage in Minneapolis musical at Lundstrum

Yolanda Pauly, a Hopkins resident and student at the Blake School, is performing in a musical production “The Boy Friend,” at Lundstrum Center for Performing Arts in North Minneapolis through Aug. 7. Pauly has been studying dance for six years at the Lundstrum Center and acting and singing for four years. “I love it here. We’re like a family,” she said.
Pauly said she hopes to pursue a career as a ballerina because she loves dance, particularly the rigorous, highly-structured movements of ballet. “It’s expressing yourself in a way you can’t express yourself anywhere else,” she said.
