St. Louis Park resident and Hopkins business owner wins business awards

During a Minnesota Retailers Association trip to Washington, D.C. for the annual National Retail Federation Retail Advocates Summit, the federation named St. Louis Park resident and small business owner Hillary Feder to its America’s Retail Champions list.

Feder is owner and operator of Hillary’s in Hopkins.

Feder was one of 41 retailers across the country recognized for work in engaging elected officials on issues important to consumers, retailers, employees and communities.

Feder was further honored as a finalist for the top designation of America’s Retail Champion, taking the stage for special recognition as a leading advocate for retail.

Federis also the owner of Ask Hillary’s, which runs a website at askhillarys.com.

She has been in business for more than 25 years.

“Through the America’s Retail Champions program, the National Retail Federation is proud to host hardworking small business owners in Washington, D.C. to recognize our industry’s most engaged retail advocates,” said Matthew Shay, president and CEO of the federation. “These men and women truly personify the American Dream, and it is important that Washington lawmakers hear first-hand from retail job and opportunity creators in towns large and small across the country.”

Bruce Nustad, president of the Minnesota Retailers Association also offered his congratulations to Feder.

Earlier this year, Feder received two national awards for her work with the Promotional Products Association International. She received a gold award for internal communications and a silver award for trade shows.
