TwinWest Chamber of Commerce will host Business Day at the Capitol 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 13.
The event will begin at Crowne Plaza St. Paul – Riverfront, 11 East Kellogg Boulevard in St. Paul and motor coaches will bring attendees to the Capitol to visit TwinWest legislators as part of the program 1:15-3:35 p.m.
According to TwinWest, the program is designed to make sure the chamber and fellow business leaders have a voice in the legislative session.
According to twinwest.com, “This is a great opportunity to band together and be sure Gov. Mark Dayton and legislators know that growing jobs and the economy is job one. New taxes and policies that threaten jobs and stifle growth will not move Minnesota forward.”
Also featured in the event are sessions on how to be the most effective advocate for individual issues and key messages for 2013 business priorities. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., and Gov. Mark Dayton will address attendees at noon. A networking session will end the program 4-5:30 p.m.
Cost to attend is $75 and includes lunch. To register, visit twinwest.com or call Judy Johnson at 763-450-2226.
TwinWest Chamber of Commerce serves business members from Plymouth, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, New Hope, Golden Valley, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka and Crystal.
