Zach Haley of the Hopkins Rugby Club has been selected to play on the United States National Team.
Haley was a member of the Minnesota Selects Under-17 team last summer and was named to an all-tournament team at a Denver tournament. He was noticed by American head coach Will “Salty” Thompson, who invited Haley to participate in a national selection camp Dec. 26-31 in Tempe, Ariz.
Twenty-eight players have been selected for the national team, which will travel to a tournament in March 24-April 7 in England.
