Main Street school in Hopkins hosts blood drive Feb. 22
Main Street School of Performing Arts will host a blood drive 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at the school, 1320 Mainstreet, Hopkins.
The event, cohosted with the Memorial Blood Centers, will give participants a chance to make a life-saving donation while raising funds for post-secondary scholarships for seniors from the schools’s dance company and National Honor Society for Dance Arts – the two school groups organizing the blood drive.
“This is our second of two blood drives,” said dance instructor Lara Ciganko. “We hope to have more than 100 donors overall by the time we wrap this up. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring awareness to the need, and make donating blood easily accessible.”
The public is encouraged to participate in the blood drive, and appointments can be made online at mbc.org/searchdrives and by entering sponsor code 3732.
A valid I.D. is required to donate.
