Oriole Nordic skiers attain all-conference honors
St. Louis Park Nordic ski teams placed high at the Twin Cities Nordic Ski Conference Meet Jan. 25 at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove. Oriole skiers achieved conference individual honors in the process.

The Oriole girls varsity team placed third out of 11 teams. Amelia Schankowitz was 11th and Sarah Webb finished 12th to attain all-conference honors.
Four St. Louis Park skiers achieved all-conference honorable mention. Sophie Olson placed 16th and Maddy Bremner was 24th. Zoe Eilers finished 25th and Rosa Hu was 29th. There were 95 skiers in the girls competition.
Other Oriole skiers were Samantha Bremner and Alissa Newman.
St. Louis Park’s boys varsity team placed fourth out of 11 teams in the conference Nordic ski meet. Nick Sokolowski finished sixth out of 93 skiers in the boys race and attained all-conference honors. Liam Schmelzle placed 15th and was an all-conference choice. Sam Olson came in 25th and received all-conference honorable mention.
St. Louis Park’s other Nordic racers were Carter Robinson, Jackson Sokolowski, Ben Chong, Conrad Phelan, Jackson Eilers and Jens Albright.
