PSI science and imagination fair set

The 12th Annual Park Spanish Immersion School Science and Imagination Fair is 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8.

Students from kindergarten through fifth grade will participate in the fair. This is an extra-curricular activity that allows students to show what they have learned in science and to express themselves by exhibiting an invention, science display, artwork, craft, model, experiment or whatever they would like to share.

PSI is a language immersion school located at 6300 Walker St. in St. Louis Park. The fair is in the PSI gym and conducted in English.

Benilde-St. Margaret’s hosts open house

Benilde-St. Margaret’s School, 2501 Hwy. 100 S. in St. Louis Park, will host an open house for all prospective students and their parents 6-8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14.

Students representing various school clubs and athletic teams will staff booths representing the school’s extracurricular activities 6-6:45 p.m.

A short presentation by Benilde-St. Margaret’s President Bob Tift will precede mini-classes, which will run until 8:30 p.m. The mini-classes are designed to familiarize those present with the school’s elective courses. Financial aid information will also be available throughout the evening. Those planning on attending the open house may register for the event at

Applications for grades 7 and 9 for the 2013-14 school year are due Jan. 15. The admissions test for incoming seventh and ninth graders will be administered 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19.
