Hopkins-Minnetonka Stars of the Week – Dec. 6

Minnetonka High’s returning All-Lake forward had a goal and three assists Nov. 27 in the Skippers’ 7-1 non-conference boys hockey victory at Apple Valley.

 

Sam Dalton

The Hopkins High goalie made 16 saves Nov. 27 as the Royals defeated Bloomington Kennedy 2-1 in a non-conference hockey game at Bloomington Ice Garden.

 

JT DenHartog

Hopkins High’s senior quarterback was named second-team All-State by Associated Press. DenHartog led the Royals to a 5-4 record this fall.

 

Joanna Hedstrom

The senior point guard scored 19 points Nov. 27 as the Minnetonka High girls basketball team rolled to a 69-52 non-conference victory at Bloomington Jefferson. She had 29 points in a 72-66 loss to Eastview Nov. 29 at Minnetonka.

 

Matt Koch

Hopkins High’s boys hockey team scored twice in the third period to beat Bloomington Kennedy 2-1 in a non-conference game Nov. 27 at Bloomington Ice Garden. Koch netted the winning goal on a power play.

 

Minnetonka Forwards

Senior forwards Laura Bowman and Amy Petersen of the Minnetonka High girls hockey team will remain teammates next season. Both have signed National Letters of Intent to play for Penn State University. Forward Sarah Nielsen of Edina has also signed with the Nittany Lions.
