Kinderberry Hill candy drive update
Kinderberry Hill Child Development Centers held a candy drive at six of its Twin Cities locations, including Plymouth. The candy drive asked students and the community to donate extra Halloween candy to ship, along with personal letters, to military support group Operation Gratitude.
The candy collected is sorted and sent in care packages to U.S. Military members deployed around the world.
This marks the second year of the candy drive. In 2011, Kinderberry Hill collected more than 500 pounds of candy. This year, they were able to collect 839 pounds.
In return for donating the candy, children received a gift bag filled with healthy treats. Kowalski’s Market, Creative Kidstuff, Subway and Park Dental contributed to the gift bags.
