Hopkins-Minnetonka Stars of the Week – Nov. 29
Rae Bullinger
The Hopkins High junior placed seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke at the state Class AA girls swimming and diving meet. Her time, which earned her All-American consideration, was 1 minute, 4.94 seconds.
Carolyn Kane
Kane, a senior at Minnetonka High, placed second in the 50-yard freestyle and fourth in the 100-yard freestyle during the state Class AA girls swimming and diving meet. Her performance helped Tonka to fourth place in the team standings.
Keller Knoll
The Excelsior resident, who plays baseball at Holy Family Catholic High School, has accepted a Division II baseball scholarship offer to play at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Amy Petersen
The Minnetonka senior forward scored a hat trick as the Skipper girls hockey team won a 7-3 decision at Roseau.
Amelia Schilling
The Minnetonka High senior won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events during the state Class AA swimming and diving meet. Her time was 1:48.61 in the 200. She had an all-time state-record time of 4:48.96 in the 500.
Isabel Wyer
Wyer, a junior at Minnetonka High School, placed third in the 100- and 200-yard freestyles during the state Class AA swimming and diving meet.
