New Year celebration Dec. 29 in Hopkins
The Peterson Family presents “A New Year Celebration” 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Hopkins Arts Center, 1111 Mainstreet, Hopkins.
Hopkins Center for the Arts representatives invite community members to celebrate the holidays and help keep the arts thriving on Mainstreet by attending this fundraiser for the arts center.
The evening begins with a full-length concert, followed by a party with the Petersons that includes live music, a good luck buffet and silent auction. The evening will end at midnight with a stirring rendition of “Auld Lang Syne” led by vocalist Patty Peterson.
Minnesota’s First Family of Music, The Peterson Family, has been performing locally, nationally and internationally for many years. This three-generation family consists of matriarch Jeanne Arland Peterson, her five children (Linda, Billy, Ricky, Patty and Paul) and grandson Jason. Nephews Tom and Russ Peterson will be on hand as well.
The evening will be filled with jazz and holiday music from past and present, including Peterson Family originals. This will be the only concert the entire Peterson Family will be presenting during this holiday season.
