Armstrong students part of gap discussion

More than 100 students from Twin Cities high schools recently shared ideas for closing the education achievement gap in their schools, among them were 15 youth from Armstrong High School in Plymouth.

The event “Missing Voices: Equity in Education” was held on the Minneapolis campus of Saint Mary’s University Nov. 13. Students joined educators, education policy experts and community members in an open discussion on the issue.

This is the first time Minnesota high school students have participated in a discussion on the achievement gap in an official forum.
