Concerning Station 73

To the Editor:

So the answer to poor planning is to spend more money. (Plymouth Sun Sailor Nov. 1, 2012 issue.) The Plymouth Metrolink Station 73 has poor usage. And now, to make it look like the Plymouth Advisory Committee and Tim Bildsoe did not make a big mistake back in 2006, the Metrolink will be adding nearly twice as many buses to the station in hopes of raising usage.

To quote Mr. Bildsoe, “We built Station 73, and the use of that facility has been less than 50 percent. We just can’t have that.”

So rather than admit a mistake, let’s throw more money at it to the tune of $100,000. But that’s okay because it comes from the state. Well guess what, the state does not print money; it comes from taxpayers, the very people that Mr. Bildsoe claims to represent.

So maybe if the building is not being used as intended, it could be converted into a shelter for the homeless at a lot less cost.
