Minnetonka resident to host chants workshop Nov. 18 to benefit Sojourner House
Betsy Sansby will host a chants workshop 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at 4275 Churchill Circle, Minnetonka.
This singing workshop will benefit the Hopkins Sojourner Project, which provides safe shelter to women and children in the community who are victims of domestic violence.
The workshop will feature healing chants and soothing lullabies from around the world with a non-religious focus. All songs will be taught by ear.
Cost is $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
Sansby is the director of The One World Community Choir of Hopkins.

Anyone who is interested in joining us this Sunday is more than welcome. We’d love to have you. No experience necessary. No solemn, church-style chanting. Only simple-to-learn, joyous, uplifting chants and lullabies from around the world: Uganda, India, Scotland, Mali. All will be taught and sung in a call and response style.
