Hopkins-Minnetonka Stars of the Week – Nov. 15

Isabelle Aragon-Menzel

Minnetonka High’s girls volleyball team posted a 19-10 record this fall. Aragon-Menzel, an eighth-grade setter, played a key role in the Skippers’ success with 945 set assists.

 

Rae Bullinger

The Hopkins High junior finished the regular season in fifth place on the Metro Swim Honor Roll in the 100-yard breaststroke. She had a best time of 1 minute, 6.33 seconds.

 

JT DenHartog

The Hopkins High football quarterback led his team to a 5-4 record. DenHartog completed 117 of 198 passes for 1,314 yards and 13 touchdowns. Hopkins was fourth in the final Lake Conference standings with a 1-3 mark.

 

Zac Merie

The Hopkins football wide receiver amassed 40 receptions, including three for touchdowns, in helping the Royals to a 5-4 record this fall. Merie also started in the defensive secondary.

 

Amelia Schilling

The Minnetonka High senior finished atop the final regular-season Metro Swim Honor Roll in the 200-yard freestyle. Her fastest time was 1 minute, 51.74 seconds. Minnetonka won the state Class AA True Team championship earlier this fall.

 

Hannah Weidner

Minnetonka High’s outside hitter was a force throughout the season in girls volleyball. Weidner had 349 kills to lead the Skippers in that category. Minnetonka finished the season 19-10 overall.
