Minnetonka High’s sophomore running back put 18 points on the board in the Skippers’ 34-13 non-conference football victory at Eagan. He scored on runs of 3, 3 and 9 yards.
Hopkins High’s senior quarterback completed five of 13 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns as the Royals went on the road to win 49-0 in a football game at Milwaukee’s Alexander Hamilton High School.

Kane starred in Minnetonka High’s 103-77 girls swimming victory over Edina Sept. 13. She won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles and also swam on winning 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays.
The Hopkins High volleyball team netted back-to-back wins over Benilde-St. Margaret’s and Wayzata last week. Reed, a senior who plays in the middle up front, had 21 kills, 3.5 blocks and 93 percent serving in the two matches.
The Minnetonka High junior was the outstanding swimmer in the Minnetonka Invitational with four gold medals. She won the 100- and 200-yard freestyles and swam on two first-place freestyle relays. Minnetonka was the meet champion.
